Craigellachie

Established in 1898, Craigellachie Single Malt Scotch Whisky began its production. After Edwards retired in 1916, Peter Mackie took over, and the distillery's output played a significant role in the White Horse blend created by the Mackie family in 1861. Following Peter Mackie's death in 1924, Mackie & Co. Distillers became White Horse Distillers and was eventually sold to Distillers Company Ltd (DCL), later becoming part of Diageo. The distillery expanded in the mid-1960s, doubling its stills to four.
