Bottled at 40% ABV to mirror its debut, this revival evokes the essence of its forerunner. Expect delicate coastal herbs and faint medicinal whispers, unfolding into a striking minerality, followed by layers of sweet peat smoke and toasted barley. Its bold smoky soul shines through, laced with traces of sea tar and seasoned oak.

Nose: Bright and invigorating, the nose reveals fresh pine resin, delicate aniseed, and a whisper of sea spray, softened by the refined elegance of lavender soap. Remarkably gentle and restrained for an Ardbeg, it exudes an understated sophistication. A dash of water unveils a distinct flinty minerality, complemented by delicate wisps of sweet peat smoke, malted barley, and the comforting warmth of toasted bread.
Palate: A sumptuously creamy texture unfolds into a beautifully balanced array of flavours, aniseed toffee and velvety café latte mingle with hints of fennel and a subtle touch of antiseptic soap. The peat smoke, though present, remains gracefully subdued, allowing the whisky’s nuanced complexity to shine.
Finish: Elegantly restrained peat smoke lingers, giving way to a long, satisfying finish layered with chewy oak, rich cocoa powder, and a whisper of tar.
