Crafted with time-honoured techniques, the whisky undergoes initial maturation in American oak casks, developing a rich, spicy sweetness. It is then finished for two years in Portuguese port wine casks, which impart luxurious dark chocolate notes and a full bodied elegance. The careful combination of these contrasting casks results in a wonderfully complex dram, showcasing the distillery's skill in cask marrying.
