The story of Kyrö Distillery Company began with five friends conversing in a sauna, questioning why no one in Finland was creating rye whisky. Without any knowledge of traditional whisky-making methods, the group decided to do things their way, and Kyrö Malt was born. This unique whisky is double pot distilled and matured in a blend of new American oak and ex-bourbon barrels, resulting in a delightful combination of robust pepperiness and sweet flavours of caramel and vanilla.
