This Caol Ila single malt is part of the Small Batch series from independent bottler Berry Bros. & Rudd. Distilled in 2011, it spent 12 years maturing in hogshead casks before being bottled in 2023. A limited release of just 894 bottles at 46% ABV.

Producer’s Tasting Notes

Nose: Fresh aromas of warm orange, chocolate, peat smoke and unlit cigars rise slowly from the glass before a lighter note of sugared almonds appears.
Palate: The palate is luscious and heavily peated whilst fruity orange, savoury peat, cocoa powder and grilled lime all balance perfectly.
Finish: Clove and yet more orange linger long on the palate. This is something akin to a peated chocolate orange.
