The Sommelier Selection takes Teeling’s classic Small Batch blend of malt and
grain, and replaces the rum cask finish with high-quality wine casks from around
the world.
After French and Italian wine barrels, the 5th release will see
maturation in red wine barrels from the Portuguese Douro Valley for the first time.
The wine from which was pressed from the harvest of vines that were over 25
years old. These casks enrich the light, fruity-floral whiskey with notes of dark
fruits and spices.
