Description

Distilled in Kagoshima, Japan this is the first malt whisky release from the Kanosuke distillery which began production in 2017. This expression has been produced using unpeated malt distilled between 2017/18 and has been matured for at least three years in re-charred American white oak and ex-Mellowed Kozuru casks.

 

This is the first Japanese single malt to be released by the distillery, making it a must have for any fans of Japanese Whisky.

Nose: Raisins, sticky toffee, lime zest and buttered toast.
Palate: Mellow woody tones, tobacco leaves, soft vanilla and just a hint of nutmeg spice.
Finish: Medium length bringing burnt orange peel, gentle sea salt and more mellow woody notes.
