Description

Lagg Distillery on the Isle of Arran introduces the Lagg Corriecravie Edition, their second Core Range Release.

This continuous core expression will be periodically bottled in limited quantities throughout the year. The whisky undergoes initial maturation in Bourbon Barrels and is then finished for approximately 6 months in Oloroso Sherry Hogsheads, sourced from producer Miguel Martin.

Nose: Dark chocolate and spiced red berries

Palate: Rich and mouth watering with subtle notes of charred embers and hazelnut

Finish: Charred Oak, Smoke, Hazelnut, Dark chocolate, Sweet Spice.

Lovely peaty smoky taste

Im quite the fan of smoky tasting whisky and had tried a sample a while back and had to get myself a bottle i stay in Ayrshire just across the water from Arran so its a fairly local distillery to me .
For me i would put this in my top 10 as the smoky flavours really do it for me its a cracking dram for in front of a fire and packs a punch .😋
