Description

The final release in the Billy Walker 50th Anniversary collection from Glenallachie, this young, feisty single malt represents Billy's future endeavours.

 

Made with Speyside peat from St Fergus and matured in a combination of ex-bourbon, ex-rye whiskey and virgin oak casks for four years, it was bottled in August 2022 and marks the first single malt that Billy has overseen from start to finish since he became master distiller in 2017.

Producer’s Tasting Notes

Nose: Bursting with toasted honeycomb, dried fruits and hazelnut, with hints of smouldering oak, dark chocolate and warm cinnamon apples.
Palate: Lashings of cinnamon stewed pears, toasted almonds, heather honey and pipe tobacco, followed by smoked barley, vanilla toffee and orchard fruits.
