In 2022, Gordon & MacPhail released a 24-year-old Glenlossie from 1997 under their Connoisseurs Choice Cask Strength range.

The whisky was matured in a first fill sherry butt and was bottled without the use of colouring or chill filtration. The cask strength of 57.3% resulted in 586 bottles being produced. Bottled on 26th April 2022.

Glenlossie is a distillery owned by Diageo and is known for being unassuming, making a well-aged cask strength version like this a delightful discovery.

Nose: Sweet fruitcake and sultana aromas combine with ginger and clove spice. Red apple notes develop alongside lemon and hints of nutmeg.
Palate: Morello cherry and sweet blackcurrant flavours accompany toasted oak autumnal spices and citrus zest.
Finish: Light and delicate finish with lingering spice.
