Foursquare Indelible Rum Exceptional Cask Selection

Indelible not only means 'not to be forgotten, but the eighteenth release from the Exceptional Cask Selection also marks the return of Foursquare matured in Zinfandel casks. In fact, a portion of the original rum used in the ECS Mark IV rum has been used in Indelible.

An eagerly awaited release from Barbados, made from a blend of rums distilled in the copper double retort pot still and the continuous twin column still at Foursquare. After spending 11 years in ex-bourbon and ex-Zinfandel wine casks, it was bottled up at a very reasonable 48% ABV.

Nose: A riot of rich strawberry conserve, zesty clementine, dried tart pineapple and victoria plums, gentle bourbon vanilla, and sultanas.
Palate: Tart and zingy. Slightly under ripe juicy black cherries, rich orange marmalade, plump raisins, with a gorgeous oily mouthfeel. Maple syrup. Dried hazelnuts, gentle notes of ginger and a delicate menthol note.
Finish: Crisp, yet lingering. Tart toasty oak, plenty of chewed pencil, and a hint of roasted parsnips at the end.
