Description

This single malt whisky, distilled in the Highlands at an undisclosed location, was created by the team behind the Isle of Raasay distillery while it was still under construction. A lightly peated expression, the whisky was aged in oak for an undisclosed period before being transferred to ex-Tuscan red wine casks for finishing.

This limited edition release features individual bottle numbers and has been bottled at a strength of 46% ABV, without chill filtration or artificial colouring.

Producer’s Tasting Notes

Nose: A welcomed smokiness on first nosing, mixed with red berries, lemon and grassy notes. With more time; pear, tangerine and melon.
Palate: Dry peatiness on the palate, mixed in with red wine notes. A good dash of orange zest from the nose.
Finish: Oaky and buttery finish.
