Hakushu Distiller’s Reserve is a surprisingly fresh single malt from Suntory’s  “the mountain forest distillery,” located  deep in the forest of Japan’s Southern Alps. With plenty of fruity flavours including yuzu and grapefruit on the palate. The finish is smoky yet subtle and refreshing.

Producer’s Tasting Notes

Nose: The herbs are very prominent with this one. Peppermint, pine and very pleasant grassy notes as cucumber and refreshing melon round out the nose.
Palate: All the notes on the nose effortlessly maneuver through to the palate with the mint sweetening as time progresses. Citrus zest also briefly appear.
Finish: A waft of smoke appears during the long finish.
