Powers John's Lane Release 12 Years Old Single Pot Still Whiskey

A single pot still release of Powers whisky. It's matured in a combination of bourbon and oloroso sherry casks and named after the distillery where it was first made, now sadly closed.

Very smooth with vanilla, dry spice, chocolate and coffee. There is dark fruit here too, raisins and blackcurrants. Tasting note barley, copper, fresh oak, leather and juicy fruit.

Nose: An abundance of earthy aromas, leather, tobacco with layers of charred wood, dark chocolate and treacle toffee.
Palate: Full bodied spice front followed by vanilla, honey and dried apricot.
Finish: Lingering honey sweetness on toasted oak with notes of barley, copper, fresh oak and juicy fruits.
