Charlestown

Like with humans two years can make a lot of difference. This 12 year old replaced the ubiquitous 10 and is a significant step up. I would recommend this if supermarket malts have wetted your interest in whisky and your ready for a bit more. Use a nosing glass and you will be first delighted with its rich deep colour, then the smell of Christmas cake and then the taste you will be transported to whisky heaven. Best enjoyed without water after the kids are in bed.
