Description

The powerful balance of smoke and sherry harmonise within this Speyside single malt Scotch whisky from the 2014 vintage from Benromach Distillery.

The barley used in its creation was peated to 57 ppm and subsequently aged in first-fill oak casks for eight years, followed by a finishing period in first-fill sherry hogsheads before it was bottled in 2023.

Nose: Immediately rich, with gingery dark chocolate, demerara sugar and cinnamon buns wrapped up in a silken sweet smoke.
Palate: The chocolate theme continues, with the addition of red berries, pecan nuts, nutmeg, and that warming bonfire smoke.
Finish: More dark chocolate and a black pepper heat.
