Nose

Classic sherried nose; sweet and caramelised fruits, honey roasted nuts, waves of cinnamon and clove with a hint of rancio.
Palate

These casks are infused with Canasta cream sherry, a unique blend crafted by harmoniously combining dry Oloroso grapes with the luscious sweetness of Pedro Ximénez grapes, resulting in a harmoniously well-rounded sherry profile.

At the distillery in early October I tried a fantastic 2014 Canasta from the cask, and was kicking myself for not stumping up the £400 odd and purchasing it then and there.

When I found this I thought I’d give it a crack, being a 1/4 of the price, but having a similar finish. It doesn’t disappoint. Absolutely delicious dram and more than stands up the the memory I have of the 2014.
