Inspired by Britain’s most famous Victorian whisky writer, Alfred Barnard, who visited the distillery in the 1880s,
Heavily peaty barley malt, slow distillation on Islay and long maturation in casks contribute to Lagavulin’s rich textures, intense flavours and remarkable nose of smoke, brine and sweetness.
